Workforce Investment Area One
The Workforce Investment Board (WIB) for Southwestern Virginia had a very old website with a million unorganized files. We converted their site to a content management system, and redesigned it at the same time.
The WIB only has three full time staff and needed a way that they could update their own website and upload files without having any HTML expertise.
The WIB is required by law to publish the minutes from their board meetings, which happens about once a month. So they needed a way to keep all these files organized and easy for the public to access and read.
After redesigning their site and importing all of their documents into our content management system, I set up certain pages on their site to automatically show a list of files from the "minutes" folder. This way, when Betty needs to add new minutes to the site, she simply uploads the file and it will show automatically in the list. You can see the example below.
